Please join us in congratulating the Goodlettsville Police Department for attaining Agency Accreditation through the Tennessee Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. The Professional Standards Committee of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police voted on June 14, 2023 to recommend to the TACP Board of Directors the accreditation of the Goodlettsville Police Department. For everyone to better understand the magnitude of such a feat, there are twenty-four chapters in the accreditation manual and one hundred and sixty standards that must be met within the referenced chapters. Each standard must have a corresponding policy, and then proofs that policies are followed. We are thankful to Chief Goodwin for his desire to achieve such a high standard for the department and to Commander Audra Cherry for leading this effort and doing so in such an outstanding manner.
